Seriously strange...

[stoops down to check out the crap, hmmm]

[ there's something that looks suspiciously like a stray packet of mushi tobacco over here that Ginko hasn't noticed yet. ]

What do you make of it?

[grabbing that without commenting cuz man this could be MY pack of mushi tobacco :|a]

[ As soon as he makes contact with the package, he suddenly finds himself back in a familiar village. And Ginko is next to him, lying asleep on the floor with an injured leg. though he's opening his eyes and looking around. ]

How long...?

[whats this place i dont quite remember this...]

I don't know.

[ he doesn't seem to notice you. there's another kid in the room too - trying to tell Ginko that Ahito's left already. And Ginko sort of accepting it.... until he tastes the water. somehow you can taste it as well - a distinctive sort of sleep medicine. ]

Wellwater, right?

That's ours. How'd they get that?

[ good question. Ginko is more concerned with where Ahito is - and thus it comes out that they've been using him to heal the village. you can feel the horror and rage building in him as he struggles to his feet and out the door. ]

...what?!

[ You feel compelled to follow along with him. Out across the village, into a particular building... ]

[rushing after him yes--mostly trying to grab and stop him]

Stop! You're too injured! GINKO!

[ he doesn't even seem to notice you grabbing his arm. he hurries up and into the other building, where they have Ahito. whatever anger he was feeling before is nothing compared to the rage flowing through him once he sees what they've done. he shouts at the villagers, both out of anger and out of an attempt to make them see reason, to make them let Ahito go-- ]

[stands behind Ginko, staring--not at himself, although he catches a glance. But at Ginko.

Is that really Ginko?]

You really...

[ You've never seen him this enraged before. Flashes, sure, but not full on hate and rage and desperation. Even when he apparently quiets, it's still strong. And it gives him enough energy to rush forward and grab Ahito, making one last desperate bid to get them out.

He doesn't see the stone coming for his head. ]

[surprisingly shrill when he screams] GINKO!

[and he tries to shield him, he really does, but what good does it do? Really? And what is even happening?!]

Why?! Why are you still trying?! STOP! STOP IT!

[ Mercifully, the memory cuts out after the first couple stones. But Ahito comes back to reality with the sense that it took quite a long time for the villagers to finally knock Ginko out.

... there's also a pair of strong hands on his shoulders, shaking him gently. ]

Ahito?

[he is FREAKING OUT]

Ginko! Ginko why did you do that?! What were you thinking?!

[ okay pulling him into a hug then :( holding him close, his voice soothing. ]

... Ahito, I'm right here. I haven't done anything.

I saw it. How you died.

You're an idiot. How could you do that?

[ his eyes widen ]

You - what do you mean?

[...presses the package into his hands shakily]

[ there's a long moment of his eyes glazing over before he comes back to himself with a gasp. ]

-- you saw all of that.

I could barely recognize you!

[ silent for a moment ]

I had to take a chance.

[just shakes his head no, trembling]
